Who We Are
Next Etch is operated by José Antonio Tamudo Bértolo, an independent professional based in Spain. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and protected when you visit nextetch.io, purchase or use Next Etch, create a customer account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, you can contact us at team@nextetch.io.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
When you purchase Next Etch or create an account, we may process information such as your name, email address, billing address, country, VAT or tax information, IP address, order details and other information required to complete your purchase and maintain your customer account. We use this information to process orders, provide downloads and licenses, manage customer accounts, provide support, process refunds and disputes, prevent fraud and comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
We process this information where necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations or pursue legitimate interests such as securing our services and providing customer support. Where processing is based on consent, such as our newsletter, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Licensing and Updates
Next Etch uses SureCart's licensing infrastructure to manage license activations and software updates. When you activate Next Etch, the licensing system communicates with SureCart and may process information including your license identifier, the URL of the WordPress website where the license is activated, the website name and technical connection information such as an IP address. The plugin also communicates with SureCart when validating a license or checking for and downloading available updates.
Next Etch does not collect usage telemetry. We do not collect information about which components you use, which animations you create, the content of your website or how you use the plugin.
Websites Using Next Etch
Next Etch does not collect or transmit personal information about visitors to websites where the plugin is installed. Its components and animation features operate within the customer's WordPress website and do not automatically send visitor data to Next Etch or load external third-party services.
If a Next Etch customer configures their website or a component to use external services, third-party content or other integrations, the website owner is responsible for the resulting data processing and for providing any privacy notices or obtaining any consent required by applicable law. Next Etch is not the controller or processor of personal information independently collected by our customers through their own websites.
Payments and Service Providers
Purchases are managed using SureCart, with payments processed through Stripe or PayPal. Full payment card details are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not stored directly by us. These providers may process personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
We also use third-party service providers where necessary to operate Next Etch, including SureCart for checkout, customer accounts, licensing and order management; Stripe and PayPal for payment processing; MailerLite for newsletter management; Zoho Mail for email communications; and Hostinger for website hosting. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
If you choose to participate in the Next Etch Facebook community or contact us through Facebook, your use of that platform is also subject to Meta's own privacy practices and terms.
Newsletter and Communications
If you voluntarily subscribe to the Next Etch newsletter, your email address and any other information you provide for that purpose are processed using MailerLite. We use this information to send product news, updates, offers and other relevant communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.
If you contact us for support, we may retain your messages and contact details for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain appropriate support records and resolve any related issue.
Cookies and Analytics
Nextetch.io does not use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. We do not use services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar tracking technologies.
Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies may, however, be used by WordPress, SureCart or payment providers when required for functionality such as customer authentication, account sessions, checkout, security or payment processing. These technologies are used only where necessary to provide the requested functionality.
Data Retention and International Transfers
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to comply with applicable legal, accounting and tax requirements. Certain transaction records may therefore be retained after your customer relationship with us has ended where required by law or where necessary to handle refunds, disputes or legal claims.
Some of the service providers we use may process information outside Spain or the European Economic Area. Where required by applicable data protection law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Under the GDPR and other applicable privacy laws, these may include the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of your data and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can exercise these rights by contacting team@nextetch.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or, where applicable, another competent data protection authority in your country.
Children's Privacy
Next Etch is intended for professional and adult users and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. When we make changes, the updated version will be published on nextetch.io with a revised "Last updated" date.
